I am passionate about using technology and my skills as a software developer to make a positive impact in the World. In memory of my beloved cats Millie, Lilly and Kitzbuhel, I recently undertook a pro bono project for Redgate Farm Animal Sanctuary.
The new website includes a customised animal-management module tailored specifically to Redgate Farm's needs. The module allows the team to store details of their current residents, including medical history and any adoption requirements. The system then uses these details to publish a simple profile of each animal on the website.
One of the key features of the new website is the digital adoption process. Potential adopters can now submit their applications online, eliminating the paperwork previously involved. This digital approach not only saves administrative time but also enables the system to automatically suggest suitable adoption matches.
