Blue Delta Calendar provides a straightforward way to publish events on your website and give visitors an easy way to discover what is happening. Editors can create and manage events from the CMS, organise them into categories, and present everything through a familiar month-by-month calendar.
A calendar built into your website
The Calendar module adds a dedicated month view to your website, allowing visitors to browse events from Monday to Sunday and move easily between months. Events are displayed directly on the day they start, with category colours and optional icons providing an at-a-glance way to distinguish different types of activity.
Each event opens into its own details page, providing visitors with the information they need including the event title, dates and times, location and a formatted description. Where a postcode is provided, a Google map can also be displayed to help visitors find the venue.
Simple event management
Events are managed through the familiar Blue Delta CMS administration area. Editors can create events with their own title, category, location, postcode and start and end times, while the built-in content editor makes it easy to create rich, formatted event descriptions.
Events can also be temporarily hidden without being removed from the system. Simply mark an event as inactive and it will no longer appear on the public calendar, making it easy to manage changes without losing the underlying event information.
Organise events with categories
Categories provide a simple way to organise different types of event and make the calendar easier to understand visually. Each category can have its own colour and optional icon, allowing visitors to identify related events at a glance.
Categories can also be switched off when they are no longer required, giving administrators control over which event types are currently available across the site.
Handle repeating events with ease
For events that happen regularly, the Calendar module can create additional dates on a weekly or fortnightly basis. Editors can generate up to 26 additional occurrences, with each date stored as its own event so that individual occurrences can be managed independently.
Optional attendance tracking
When enabled for an event, signed-in visitors can respond with a simple yes or no to indicate whether they are attending. The event page can also display a list of attendees, making it easy for visitors to see who else is coming.
For administrators, attendance information is available alongside the event, with links through to the individual users who have responded. Attendance capture is controlled through the event details page, so it can be used only where it is appropriate.
Built for the Blue Delta CMS
Calendar is delivered as a CMS package, providing the pages and administration features needed to publish events as part of an existing Blue Delta website. The package includes an Event calendar page for the public month view and an Event details page for individual events.
Administrators can also review the change history for events and categories, providing a useful record of how calendar content has been managed over time.
A practical way to publish what's happening
Whether you are publishing company events, community activities, meetings, training sessions or other dates worth sharing, Blue Delta Calendar provides a focused way to bring them together in one place. Visitors get a clear, accessible calendar, while editors have the tools they need to keep event information organised and current.
